Today makes a month since my friend took his life. A month. How is that even possible. I haven't been back to the place where he died, so everything still feels kind of surreal. The day he died, it stormed the hardest it had in months. I was talking about him earlier today and thunder started. It never rained or even got cloudy. Just thundered. I think the sound will always make me think of him.
Busbee would have been so happy about the new Brand New album
This is from the “Dark Hand” video, but I’ll always remember the first show I went to after moving to Columbia and how Evan invited me back to their place afterwards with everyone but I got there too early. Busbee and Ragin didn’t even know me, but they told me to come up and immediately popped the champagne and made me feel welcome, and that was the first night I made friends since moving here.
