@rockoutrovina housemate, pal, and partner to my brother figure passed away 4 days ago after a year+ fighting lung cancer. It got to her brain faster than anyone thought. It's fucked up that the youngest person in the house is just... gone. I was texting her on the 12th and by the 14th she couldn't see anymore. All of the house pulled together in the last 3 weeks to give her a feast and a wedding. It was beautiful and sad all at once.

Hug someone you love or treat yourself to something nice today. You deserve something good.

It's also never, ever a bad day to quit smoking.

Elizabeth Taylor is home now. It took a bit of doing.

I mistakenly called the funeral home owner's personal number because that was what was on Google Maps. That was embarrassing.

But he said it was OK. I could come get her cremains.

An elderly man who had just lost his wife helped me. A wife really trumps a dog, but he still helped me. Thank you, sir. I didn't get your name, but I am grateful for your help.

Liz is home now. Her urn is a shadowbox picture frame with her cremains inside.

Thank you, Patrick. Thank you, elderly man whose name I didn't have the frame of mind to ask. Both of you helped me. Patrick, you gave me a hug even though you didn't even know me. Thank you for that.
