Do you think Sephiroth cares about Hojo? What if he didn't know Hojo was his father but still considered him his father figure?

I think Sephiroth has extremely complicated feelings about Hojo. They constantly shift between fear, shame, reliance, hatred, and yes, even lingering traces of love. Or at the very least attachment. Sephiroth recognizes that Hojo is his guardian. And even acknowledges that Hojo is the only one who ever stayed or remained a consistent presence in his life. But that doesn't change what Hojo has done to him. Sephiroth will forever resent him for it.

To answer the question, no, I have not had the misfortune of running into this type of person. My blocking hand is strong so I've probably shitcanned them already for something else.

Having said that, WTF is wrong with people that they're trawling the Internet looking for fans to harass over a goddamn ship? If you (general you, not the OP or anyone specific) can't figure out how to mute the tags for things you don't want to see, get the fuck away from your keyboard. Unless you're just an asshole who gets off on thinking you're upsetting people. In that case get the fuck away from your keyboard, get a hammer, and smash your computer to bits. And don't touch grass, either. Just go to your room and don't come out. Don't interact with anyone. Remove yourself from the equation in a non-lethal way until you're ready to act like a civilized goddamn adult.

It's OK not to be into a ship. It's OK not to be into shipping in general. But the moment you shit one some teenager for indulging their ship? That's the moment you become a complete and unredeemable dickhead.

It costs you nothing to mute a tag and move on.

Im not on Twitter thank God so I'm free from all this but anyway if you're mad at Tyler Hoechlin or Travis Willingham over a recasting decision that neither of them likely had much control over or else if you're shitting on Travis (a perfectly good VA in his own right!) for a vocal performance we have heard one single line of then I ask you to go outside, find a nice patch of grass, and lay face down in it until you get your priorities sorted

And it just all goes back to my rant posts about people’s headcanons for Seph, and how they take it out on people like me/other female self-shippers by bombarding us with “he HATES women and wouldn’t like you/your OC”. WHEN NONE OF THAT IS CANON. The closest thing we have to Sephiroth’s canonical sexuality is the devs saying “Sephiroth doesn’t really think about that stuff…” 😭

I’m just so fed up with this fandom. Today is truly a horrible day to be a normal Sephiroth fan ☹️
