10 years since Moosey left us…

I feel like this music video that he made in 2011 encapsulates a perfect, I dunno…a perfect goodbye.

When he found out he was terminal, he had his Megatron die. I wish I remembered what from, but it was beautiful of him to give his RP friends a chance to say their goodbyes and for him to see how much they loved him before he went. I don’t remember how long he lived after playing out his character’s death.

What I do remember is he had his Megatron die standing on his feet.

I wish I screencapped the scene, but I foolishly thought Formspring would exist forever.

But he is sorely missed.

Now all we have are memories.

Moosey, if you’re watching…I watched an Armada episode every December 31st just for you, and I’ll keep doing that.

I was going through some stuff and totally forgot Moosey’s birthday so I’m making it up this year by adding my own Valentines Day spin!

MOOSEDAY!!

Moosey celebrated his last birthday on Earth ten years ago today.

He would’ve turned 33.

Fuck cancer.

9 years?!

Yeah, 9 years since cancer took Moosey from us, a funny gay fella who loved and role played an awesome Armada Megatron.

His Megatron hated being called a moose, but Moosey ate it up and laughed.

I miss him.

Anyway, spam Armada Megatron and moose pictures in memory of him. He would love it.

I’m still so angry that formspring went under, and tumblr deleted his blog for inactivity, so all those memories are just gone. Only his Twitter survives. He went by Moosetron there.

I remember pranking his Megatron on Formspring with a few horrible gross anon questions about his cannon. I think he made a Megatron style dick joke about it, but it’s gone and it’s a real shame.

Moosey Memorial

Moosey left us for the Allspark 8 years ago today. He was fabulously gay and he role played as an awesomely gay Armada Megatron who was in a poly relationship with a G1 Skywarp and a TFP Starscream (I think?) in the last years of his life.

I never participated, only lurked to watch things play out, but he was wonderful.

This all happened on a website called Formspring, which has vanished and taken all the rp with it so nobody can look back on it and remember. That sucks and it hurts because it’s like having all trace of him wiped off the web.

He was a massive fan of my fanfics. Didn’t matter what I wrote, he devoured it. When he was close to the end and we weren’t sure he’d see Christmas, I sent him a massive DS9 fanfic I had finished and was posting a chapter a day, so he got the whole thing while the rest of the world had to wait. I wanted him to get to read it all because I’d spent so much time talking to him about it. He ended up making it to the last day of 2013, but he thanked me for sending him the fic and gushed about it over AIM. It was the last fic he read in his life. I’m in tears remembering that.

Moosey, I miss you.

MOOSEDAY IS PINK!

A pink moose is appropriate. Moosey loved pink.

Spam the pink moose everywhere!

10 years ago, his online friends released pink balloons to memorialize him. It’s what he wanted instead of a funeral, if I remember correctly.

Moosey, you are missed and you are loved. I hope your birthday in Heaven rocks.

I’m going to let this go now…but every time I see pink things I think of him a little, especially if the pink things have antlers.

In all seriousness, RIP Moosey. We all were so lucky to know you and be influenced by you. I couldn't be more thankful to you.
