Pate doesn’t tend to get stressed easily. If someone were to play his mind games back at him, however, that might do it.
Large crowds/overwhelmingly busy sounds can be enough for him to feel off-kilter since he hasn’t really adjusted to that kind of environment as much as he’d like. Living in a world where humanity was either dying out or becoming husks of themselves left for a quiet, empty place. And he spent well over a year in such a state, while he’s only been in Isola for a little over a year now. Takes time.

Whether Pate is considered Undead here still in Isola or not, he was still prone to catching colds and the like, or being poisoned. He had a terrible cold last year around this time, not at all used to such cold weather changes since Drangleic was a more tropical island that had an active volcano…on top of a mountain. (drangleic is weird yo)
He does not take getting sick lightly. He’ll complain endlessly and probably for attention. Especially from a certain someone lol. But he also would just feel awful and disgusting. Not a fun time. He thought hangovers were bad, runny noses and headcolds are worse!! Don’t get him started on sore throats that ruin his voice. Oh no!
