Let’s talk about fanon foxes...
I'm glad that the fandom acknowledges fanon Neil, in specifics— the one where he is overly infantilized, sexualized, and/or feminised,, and how dangerous it is. 2021's about to end so I thought I'd add something I hate about popular fanon too and that is fanon foxes. Invasive!!foxes honestly weirds me out and I'm ngl,, I actually did found it kind of funny and sometimes cute at first, that they'd go the extra mile to see Neil and Andrew together having sweet moments or push them together to see those sweet moments because it gets me to see them too and found-fam being supportive— but then the more I read about it the more it kind of gets old?? Especially whenever I reread AFTG and time and time again I am hit with the realization that the canon foxes are nowhere near that and absolutely, totally respects Neil's boundaries—
You could argue that this was before the foxes found out about the mafia and Andreil but still no??
They still respected Andreil's boundaries and didn't went an extra mile to peep on them when they got Neil to go to the dorm with Andrew alone, Andreil shared the room in the cabin, etc. The more I think about it, it's a little discrediting to the littlest canon we could have of the other foxes— that they always made sure Neil wasn't uncomfortable, didn't invade his boundaries. Also,, it's kind of weird how most of them are portrayed to be so obsessed to see Neil doing fine with Andrew that they'll go thru extreme lengths just to see them being coupley?? I dunno,, maybe I'm taking this out of context and maybe this is just me— I like some fanon things about the foxes but the ones with them being obsessively over Andreil's space is something I grew to dislike over time.
