Day 4 - A quote you live by.

One of my favorite quotes that I live by is from the late, great Stuart Scott. Scott’s quote was this:

“So live. Live. Fight like hell. And when you get too tired to fight, lay down and rest and let somebody else fight for you.” One of the reasons why this quote is important is because today was the year anniversary of when Scott lost his life to cancer. As a young black male, I grew up idolizing Scott on Sportscenter because he was sportscenter. 

This quote means a lot to me. It’s inspiring . It’s also something I’m starting to live by. Fight for what you want. Live your life and not worry about others. But when you’re tired, rest. That’s something that sticks with me to this day. 

It doesn’t feel like Stuart Scott has passed on to a better place. Still feels like yesterday he was on Sportscenter, or at the NBA Finals. Weird. Sad. But thanks for being a pioneer. A hero. A legend. An Icon. 

Rest in Peace forever, Stu.

It's been only a day but I miss Stuart Scott

Stuart Scott never stopped working hard and kicking ass no matter what happened. He did it all. He stayed busy. He didn't let anything slow him down. Now my dude can finally take a nap. Stay cool like the other side of the pillow.
