This is the Ugly Side of America that has to change. This brutal, ugly white supremacy has to stop. Every time a Black person in America is murdered whether by a policeman or some racist white random, something must be done. When are these absurd American gun laws going to change? Why aren’t the powerful police unions exposed for what and who they truly are? Why are the police & the racists who commit these murders not immediately shamed in the media and jailed for life? And why are the entire police staff in the county, or state, where it happens, not having their salaries and pensions garnished by the court and that money given to the grieving families? No money can ever replace a beautiful life. But would the police finally ‘police’ themselves to stop this ugly racism and these thousands of murders when it finally hurts their pockets and their pensions? I didn’t intend to, it just came up on my Twitter feed. I began sobbing. My husband asked me what happened and I told him the story of a black man in Georgia who was murdered while running. He asked, did they catch the guys?! And so I just cried harder. Catch them?! They are free. Because in America, killing a black man while he exercises is accepted as another day.
