Cat Graves at Amberley Musuem in Amberley West Sussex. Over the years several cats have made their home at the museum. CHALK AND PEPPER The Museum's first Director brought Chalk (known as Chalkie) and Pepper to the site in 1979 when they were kittens. These cats' names reflect the history of the site, which used to be a chalk quarry owned by a company called Pepper and Son. NELSON Nelson was a stray cat with one eye who spent his last few years living at the Museum. We don't have a picture of him, as he was very shy! AGATHA (AGGIE) Aggie, another cat, is also buried here. She was a tabby who lived at the Museum for many years with one of our volunteers who lived on site. She doesn't have a proper grave marker @amberley_museum @cats_of_instagram @lovewestsussex #amberleymuseum #amberleymuseumandheritagecentre #catsofinstagram #cats #ripcats #allcatsgotoheaven #workingmuseum #livingmuseum #outdoormuseum #westsussex #chalkandpepperthecats #nelsonthecat #agathathecat (at Amberley Museum & Heritage Centre) https://www.instagram.com/p/CS6EekXtTnE/?utm_medium=tumblr
