CONTROL THE NARRATIVE • He said we cant get in the mind of this officerand i would say why cant we. He shot a woman five times. When you know that other officers are not held accountable for shooting doesnt that make you feel you can shoot and get away with it? The Clerk’s Office does not show any active warrants. They painted a picture of her being an harden criminal when in reality she has never spend more than a day and a half in jail on very questionable misdemeanor charges. This is a woman who worked 20 years at the hospital as a Unit Coordinator before taking early retirement because she had been diagnosed with #schizophrenia in 2005. She continued to work for another 5 years struggling to overcome her mental illness as she raised her son and daughter before she was forced to retire due to medical reasons. Her misdemeanor arrests all stemmed from her bouts with #mentalillness. The police sought to criminalized this unarmed #blackwoman who the police officer executed her at 10:40pm on May 13, 2019 in Baytown, Texas, a suburb of Houston, Texas. We must humanized her as woman who could have been one of our family members. #rippamelaturner The Baytown Police department has decided to let the officer on administrative leave. He is still getting paid. He harrased her, tased, and shot her. I have seen like we all have wyte children and their parents physically beat and resist police and still are not tased or even attempted to be seen as a threat.
