I still remember very vividly when I found out that Paul Gray had passed away. I was at school and just before the bell rang for registration, a few of my friends had broke the news to me. I was in disbelief until I got home and went on the Slipknot website to watch the press conference. Even though I had only been a fan for less than a year, the impact that Slipknot had on me at that age was incomparable. It was the first time I had cried over the passing of a musician and the first time I had experienced mourning in a fandom. The maggots were full of tributes over the next few years and Paul's loss has left a massive hole in the band. He was very instrumental in the song writing process and I'm happy that I've gotten to experience many of the songs he contributed to live, even if I never got to see him perform. 10 years has flown by in the grand scheme of things, and the band has changed a lot in them, but on this day every year, I always take time to reflect on his loss and what he meant to the maggots. We still miss you very much no. 2 ❤️ may your basslines tremble the skies 🤘 2️⃣ 2️⃣ 2️⃣ 2️⃣ #slipknot #paulgray #rippaulgray #metal #2000s #music #numetal #bassist #maggots #2 https://www.instagram.com/p/CAkeWLAg47d/?igshid=1un7vetbav4vt
