I know 117 came out like. a few weeks ago but does anyone else think about Jay and Lizzie's grief for Ava and the comparison between them. They're both so angry , angry at each other, angry at the people who caused this, angry at themselves. Whenever I watch Riptide with Lizzie I find Jay in her. Not because they're both powerful women but because I see Jay's determination, her independence, her wit reflected back in everything Lizzie says or does. Hell, both of their main goals involve Ava.
Ava is a lesson in concequences, in how what you do affects others. Jay and Lizzie could have been vastly different, considering the difference in their pasts but because they shared love for one singular woman, their paths were changed. If Ava hadn't died Jay wouldn't be a Riptide pirate. If Ava hadn't died maybe Lizzie wouldn't be hell bent on drstroying the navy. Grief changes a story.

Lizzie is doing such a good job with this pep talk rn I’m so proud of her. She will be the first one to admit she’s terrible with feelings but she is trying so so hard to make sure her friend, the little sister Ava talked so much about and loved so dearly, is okay.
