17. Any mean comments? Howâd you deal with it? Who laid the smackdown?
I've never had any mean comments (thank the Maker), but I have had comments that rub me the wrong way. For example, I had someone comment on the fic I wrote about Liv's miscarriage saying that they wished Sebastian had been killed in it and that he would get what's coming to him in the future or something like that. I personally don't hate Sebastian so I kind of just replied with the usual "Thank you, I'm glad you liked it," and then said sorry he's not dead and he probably won't end up that way.
And then of course there's the "this is great. please write ____" comments and it's just like seriously? OH and there was this one time where someone reblogged something I wrote and tagged it with "I prefer it when ____" and it's just like okay, why the hell are you reblogging it then if you don't like it? Write it your-fucking-self if you want it to go a certain way? Stuff like those two I usually just rant about in a personal post.
And then there was that one time I posted something where Isabel was being her normal flirty self and was ogling Alistair and then a post popped up in the Alistair tag about how certain characters would be better off being paired with Zevran and some other bullshit about how a relationship with Alistair deserves to be treated the right way or something like that. I'm like 99% sure the post was about what I had written, and I rambled about it in a personal post. There wasn't a smackdown or anything but a bunch of people here were really supportive of me, so that was good.
