thank you so, so much, my friend!! i had a really nice weekend (and actual bday on sunday), spending time with some friends and my family (+ doing a little shopping, upgrading my iphone #treatyourself, and eating A LOT lmao). overall, i'd say it was a win and my 31st year is off to a great start! have to start by saying everything referenced here is in accordance with my exclusive lonnie ( @auradoncaptain ) !! shoutout to kelsey quinnzel for developing our kids with me !! 

ben and lonnie are best friends and even if he tried , though he doesn’t , he couldn’t remember a time when it wasn’t that way. they were always going to grow up together , the same way they grew up right beside everyone else that was sort of born into their social circle but the two of them were notably close. lonnie was ( still is ) one of the few people who knew the reality of the … rocky state of the de bourbon household growing up. she was around too much not to and even if she hadn’t have been she was always someone ben didn’t have to put up facades or anything for. she’s always known him.

hand in hand with being his best friend , she’s also his right hand in matters of being king. she was on the receiving end of anytime he needed to talk about any fears or nerves about not being able to lead. she was one of the first people to know when the decree to bring the isle kids over was just an idea. one of the reasons ben knows his way around a sword as well as he does is because him and lonnie trained a lot together growing up. you could ask either of them at any given moment where the other is and they would know. they share a google calendar !

they’re just really a package deal and ben probably could not recall the last time he had something going on that she didn’t know about. the fact they’re a package deal in both royal and personal matters isn’t a secret , to anyone. the last year of prep they managed to talk fgm into allowing them to dorm together after years of powerpoint presentations , so they ended up with the only co-ed room for senior year. they perform together at the annual auradon prep talent show. they’re very powerful.

        liz  is  one  of  the  most  important  people  in  the  world  to  me  and  i  cannot  begin  this  by  saying  something  else.  she  is  more  than  a  friend  to  me,  she  is  my  aunt!!  or  my  lesbian  lover,  according  to  my  actual  aunt,  because  we  hugged  too  tightly  in  new  york!!  but  honestly  liz  is  someone  i  look  up  to  and  always  have.  she  is  talented,  truthful  and  brave.  every  muse  she  writes  is  unique  and  everyone  should  be  as  lucky  to  have  her  in  their  lives  /  even  if  to  pull  your  ear  sometimes!

       words pierce like a knife, open mouth gasps for air that fails to get into her lungs. as usual, pansy tries to H I D E her emotions behind a perfect and cold facade. for the longest time, that has been her worst nightmare. not feeling real things, not living a real life. all her life has been flawlessly orchestrated, either by her parents or for her parents. the brunette has never been in control of her own life and that resembles in her personality once she meets the half breed. sabrina is everything she is not. despite being an orphan, she is loved. pansy, on another hand, has a family but was never met with a warm hug coming home or a kiss of goodnight. being faced with the reality hurts more than any hex that could have been casted upon her. 

       she doesn’t know how to respond. deep down, she admires the blonde witch for who she is, what she stands for. pansy could never know what that feels like. she wishes, however, it’s not in satan’s plans for her. she is destined to be just another witch. but just as any snake, when cornered, she bites back.  “ real? and you have? do you really believe nick or that ex of yours have felt anything for you? are you that n a i v e to believe that men want anything else from you besides your body?  wake up, sabrina. they are all the same. all lust and desire. “  filled with poison, cold hearted heart, words are meant to hurt.  “ and do not be mistaken, spellman. the only reason your aunts took you in was pity. pity of the orphan hald breed. “

            he’s beginning to pick up on a pattern, here. weird things? they happen. and sabrina? she ghosts him, then shows back up in the center of town, presumably travelling on the flurry of dead leaves that always seem to linger around her feet. she’s like an autumnal cinderella. it’s been right under his nose for a while, now; ever since she stopped coming around, as often. jughead’s no prince charming, though. he’s not the type to demand explanations from flighty girls. ( especially not ones who’ve just handed him their mostly full--- and already paid for--- cups of hot chocolate. )  

                “alright,” he answers, easy as the breeze. if he spots a weirdly well-dressed figure, lingering behind the post of the gazebo, it’s really not his business. even if he thinks that the black turtleneck / blazer combo is a lot to take in. sabrina’s new, gothic crowd is just really leaning into the schtick. he gets it. “nice to see you, as always.” he raises both cups to her, as he backs away, before she can change her mind. “catch ya later, ‘brina.”
