4 - Favorite dish specific for your country?I doubt Fairy Bread counts as a national dish, but fuck it. We invented it, it’s an almost-hundred years old recipe, and everyone loves eating it.
5 - Favorite song in your native language?Treaty by Yothu Yindi. Bit awkward to define what our native language is, so I’ll play it safe and pick a song with English and one of our indigenous languages in the lyrics.
14 - Do you enjoy your country’s cinema and/or TV? We’ve got a pretty good track record for good movies. We’ve got a few crap ones, but in retrospect we’ve got a great (if small) industry here.Our TV industry is shit, though. ABC and SBS are the only channels with quality Australian content. The rest is just old licences we’ve bought from American TV.
16 - Which stereotype about your country you hate the most and which one you somewhat agree with?The one I hate the most is probably the stereotype that we’re all drunk racists, because Australia is so multicultural it’s not even a joke anymore.And I kinda agree with the idea that we’re crazy survivalists. Every time I tell my American friends how hot our summers have been, they’re horrified when I point out that we often hit 90 to 104 in Fahrenheit.
