richie was shocked that his body hasn’t given out by now. he was so drained from the day, but he wanted nothing more than to spend time with macon. he stretched his body as he looked to the other. “i promise. i’m fine.” he said as he kept himself on the bed. “if you want, i can get up and we can try that new recipe that you have told me about.”

Richie looked over at the other, he was more than sure that both of them will not make it through the movie. He had just finished a last run for doordash and his body was just exhausted, but he had promised to hang out with them. He let out a yawn as he covered his mouth quickly. “Sorry, I promised you. I will stay awake.” He said as he slapped his cheeks softly.

Ritchie had heard her words as he tried to hide the smile that came to his face. “Well, damn.” He responded as he looked to her. “I mean, that is better than any compliment I’ve ever had if I’m being honest. How am I supposed to say something better than that?” He asked in a joking tone.

It was this side of Marie that Ritchie hadn’t seen all too often, but when it happened, he cherished every single second of it. So as they stood in the living room, Ritchie held onto her hand as he swayed along to the music with her. He insisted that they danced to Ritchie Valens, mostly because it made him think of his times when he was dance and sing along to We Belong Together at night with her, also in honor of his name sake. As he lifted his hand up to twirl her, he softly sang along to the song, his smile staying glued to his face.

Richie let out a sigh as he sat there, going to look at the other. “I feel like I’m never going to fucking catch up. I mean, I work fucking 4 different jobs to try and help and it never seems to be enough. I feel like I’m drowning.” He whispered in a soft tone as he took a deep breath, letting his hands grab at his hair and let out a groan.

Richie hadn’t expected someone to come into the room. So here he was standing awkwardly, looking at the emotion filled face of the other. “Oh. Um,” He started in a soft tone as he looked to his hands. “I’m sorry. I can leave if you need me to. I can see you’re like, not feeling great.” He responded as he looked back up to the other.

Richie smirked as he listened to the other talking. He always loved spending time with the other, because even when he was having the worse of his mental health days, an hour with the other, and his mood was happier. He leaned back as he let out a small chuckle. “I told you that you can always talk about whatever you want. I will try to keep up the best I can.”
