Hey. I apologize for the errors, English is not my native language. But I really like the way you write and I dared to write. So, can I ask for Revali with an arrogant s / o that bickers with Revali, but in the end they become a couple. In addition, s / o wants to become Rito warrior. (reader - Rito! female!)
I am really, really sorry it took so long <.<
Summer started and I am living in the roof - it was too hot to write in my room...and then motivation loss and I cannot say how sorry I am for it.
I tried to combine everything and I hope you like the little result with this more open end.
And I dont mind. Your english is great. And well, english is also not my native language :D

It was just a normal day as every day. He trained every day his gear to the perfection. It has to be perfect. After he got to know that a certain hylian will be the hope against the fight against the calamity ganon, he really got frustrated. He was a way better fighter and warrior. So he had to show princess Zelda that his gear is the weapon. But well, at the moment it wasn’t really perfect.
“Oh my, another fail?” he heard a laughter from afar and he knew it was from you.
It was true that a certain hylian annoys him. But there was also you, a rito like him, who also annoys him. Well, annoying sounds harsh. It was a charming annoying.
You were the same age as you. You were also talent in fighting and it was one of your dreams to be a warrior for the rito. But there was a little rivalry between you two. He was the rito champion, you wanted to be as good as him.
“Yeah yeah, you can laugh as much as you want. You will be astonished when I got a leading role”
“You and a leading role? With flying?” you asked more sarcastic than serious.
“You know, I can also fly. Am I know the hope for Hyrule?”
Revali only rolled with his eyes.
“I train for it instead of just talking nonsense. With this, you never will be a warrior for the rito”
You only nod without listing.
“Yeah yeah, Training and stuff. I know what I can. But as you wish, my perfect warrior body will now train to be a better fighter than everyone. Even without flying”
It was normal you two had those little fights. Nothing was really mean, it was more cheering in a different way. Revali had to admit that he wasn’t the one without your tongue.
And deep inside your head, you wished for him to get his hopes true. But well, you would never say that out loud. It would not suit you. It was your personality to show your interest in an aggressive way. You know you were great and Revali needed to know it to get better than you.
It was your way of showing friendship and interest.
Well, it has to be say that Revali wasn’t the only one who get in touch with your personality – you often bicker around and there were plenty of times Revali had to save your ass.
People said you two were perfect for each other. No one of you wanted to admit it but there was something between you two. It was a quite weird feeling of Love you two had….but you had it.
However, both of you were not ready to confess. Revali was too proud and for you, it was the same.
And well, people told both of you that you two liked each other more than just friends. But there was your both prides and things got quite hilarious.
Revali could see from afar how you train. Your body was in a perfect condition, your concentration was on point. He knew it from the beginning that you were a good warrior.
However, Revali also see a bit…sadness.
It was true you were suitable to be a warrior. He would be happy if you were there instead of the hylian champion. But the fate was not with you…or the rules of your village.
Only male warriors allowed.
Revali always questioned this rule – there were plenty other female who were talented and way better than some male warrior he knew. But the oldest did not want to change the rules.
Even princess Zelda were not amused about that rule. So you could train how hard you wanted…you never could be a warrior.
He could not stand seeing you this unhappy even when you don’t show it. But he really did not know what he could do. Or could he?
“Oh, Revali. Wanted to see how a real warrior looks like?” you asked when he approached you from behind.
“Sure, always. Because I know I am in good hands” he joked.
“But well, I am also here for something else”
“Oh, for what?”
“I got a little task from the eldest. Collecting those berries for I don’t know what…”
“The berries in the mountains? Oh, they are delicious. I guess he wants them for the little campfire…But why he sends you for that…simple task? The guards could do it”
“Well, there is the problem. Something beat up the guards and the eldest thought it would be better to send the rito champion.”
“And you don’t want to hurt your precious feathers and want me to protect you?” you asked and waited for his sarcastic answer.
“Sure, that’s why I am here. You’re the only one who can match my strength and to have someone watching me feels kind of safer with someone I trust”
You did not expect that answer and you could feel the heat in your cheeks. Revalo also saw it, but he said nothing – he just smiled honest to you.
It was the beginning of something strong between you.
I am not quite satisfied with the outcome but I really wanted something casual to write. Because I get no requests what makes me sad.

You watched from afar how the children trained their flying skills. It made you sad you could not participate. You had a broken wing. When you think back, it was…hilarious.
You found a good windy spot and tried a bit. Most of it was very good until it happens. You did not know where…but someone jumped on you. You shrieked and off course, you fall with the stranger on your back. Both of you fall hard on the ground. You could feel the pain in your wing.
“Are you okay?” you heard a foreign voice and looked for its origin – the stranger. It was a hylian boy around your age. His hair was blond, his eyes were clear blue and he had a worried look on his face. You wanted to yell at him why he tried to...whatever he wanted on your back. The pain was too intense to say something clear. So you shook your head.
“I…I will get help. Wait here!”
With this sentence, he ran away. You really wanted to know why a hylian boy was around the rito village. But it was more important to get properly medical help.
You lost track of time and really thought he left you alone when you could hear him scream “There! There!”
One of the guards of your town recognized you immediately and brings you back to your family. You got some bandages and medicals to reduce the feeling of the pain. You sat on your hammock and waited for the lecture of your parents.
However, they didn’t lecture you. The hylian boy came in your house and explained the situation.
“It is my fault. I thought I could also fly when I jump on the back”
It sounded very dump in your ears. It made you laugh.
You sighed a bit. You really wanted to fly, but you could not.
“Hey [Y/N]!”
You turned your attention to the voice and there was Link, the hylian boy. After the incident he visited you every day. You found out he was with his parents around the area for some business.
“What do we want to do today?” you asked him.
“I don’t know. Maybe you show me around?”
“Again?”
“Why not?” he laughed and you threw a cushion on him. You started laughing, too.
After the incident which he caused…you become friends.
A strong and deep friendship. Deeper than every wing could be.
