Hoyt’s Cologne developed in 1868, a scented toilet water (not from the toilet) with things like lavender, bergamot and neroli. Hoyt & Co have never given their original formula and it is still made today, although the recipe is completely synthetic now. The cologne was and still is used by hoodoo practitioners for cleansing, blessing, drawing luck and money and all sorts of success. It’s use has increased in popularity so much that most magical practitioners have at least seen a bottle with its signature label. I love having a bottle around to quickly cleanse the space as the alcohol evaporated quickly filling the room with its scent. This is an old glass Hoyt’s Cologne bottle from the late 19th century. I always pick these up if I can find them because I love their size and shape. #witchmuseum #occultartifacts #occultantiques #oddities #hoodoo #hoytscologne #conjure #ritualtools #potionbottle https://www.instagram.com/p/Cej_PVbr-yi/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
