When I watched that interview of Amita and Freddy talking about Kanej, I was like “is this real? Did we get blessed with such a passionate cast? Did we actually win?”

When Amita was explained how Ketterdam needs a Kaz Brekker Freddy was smiling so hard!! I just love their friendship and how much they care about their characters and their relationships!!!

I’m just now getting into Kanej and the series, and i have a genuine question (I’m not trying to overstep I’m just genuinely confused) but I see most people say that Kanej shouldn’t have any other physical contact in the series other than hand holding, but I also heard that he kissed her on the neck in the book. Is this misinformation or is that moment considered collectively not accepted by the fandom and shouldn’t be in the series?? Yet I’ve seen people talk about it all the same, and like the moment, so why is it not wanted in the series? I just wanna make sure I’m on an understanding because 😭😭😭 this is confusing me

you’re still in the beginning portion of the series which is why it is a bit confusing because you don’t have the context, but I will clear up the confusion. For the physical touching, kaz and inej are both individuals who have severe PTSD and have a traumatising past where any form of physical touch not only repulses them but can also be triggering. The neck kissing scene is LOVED by the fandom because it happens in a way that makes sense for those characters but more importantly, it doesn’t ‘solve’ anything and their repulsion to skin contact isn’t suddenly ‘cured’. the reason why the fandom is so adamant on no physical content for kanej is that portraying them as two people who can easily have sex and make out is unrealistic because of their past trauma but also disrespectful to people who go through a similar experience. i hope this makes sense :)

literally don’t know how people can still ship darklina after that last episode. Kirigan forcing that amplifier on her and Ivan slowing her heart rate to do so is just so invasive and takes away all her agency.

The moment she stood up to him is amazing when she truly put him in his place.

the show literally spoon-fed us reasons why d*rklina should never happen. love being validated. now whenever I will get messages asking me why I hate d*rklina, i will just give the episode number and time stamp instead of going on a long rant.

That scene of Inej giving her knives to Kaz before she’s about to do an acrobatic routine and their gazes at each other. Oof - beautiful 🤌, Darklina desk scene What? That Kanej gaze could’ve melted all the ice in Fjerda. Damn

this scene is hotter than the sun summoners light. that’s how amazing amita and freddy’s chemistry was in this scene!

Freddy mentioned that he had to act like he was in the shadow fold which is means he will be in ravka. people are theorising that the darkling hires him or something.

i mean sure. but the scene where inej gives kaz her knives and the look he gives her back felt more intimate and sexy to me then literally any sex scene i’ve ever seen in television history.

This is going to sound ridiculous but I can't trust other people on this hellsite because you know d*rklina stans are a thing but you know when the darkling tells alina that there's no one else like them doesn't baghra have the same powers as the darkling (i haven't read the books in years the new stills reminded me) so isn't he lying again

You are right, he did lie to Alina and that was the whole point. I think it is important to understand that the darklings main motivation throughout the books was to control Alina and her power. When the darkling tells Alina that ‘there is no one else like them’ and even the quote ‘you and I are gonna change the world’, these words are nothing but control tactics from the darkling to feed on the insecurities of a lonely, orphan girl. Alina came from a very poor background and all she craved that type of attention, to feel special more then anything, and the darkling gave her exactly that!!

there was some article that implied that zoya might say something racist to alina in the show. people are mad because that makes zoya racist. s&b twitter account tweeted something that had a pic of zoya but they deleted it in under a minute so everyone is now like wtf??  i honestly think that things are taken out of context here and i beg y’all to stop making a judgement on the show when we haven’t even seen it.
