Some photos from Back to the Beginning. Not great quality as we were up and away in the gods but by god, I was there and will forever be grateful for that. Can die happy now.

Didn’t get photos of everyone (too busy rockin’ out!) These are probably the best of the bunch. We couldn’t have asked for more from Ozzy he gave it his all and his all was so much more than we ever deserved. He thanked us “from the bottom of my heart” and fuck me, do I return the sentiment. Really, really could not have had a better day, a better time, a better show.

Shoutout to the crowd and the beer cup snake.

Never going to forget Steve Tyler wiping his fingers in his armpit then sniffing, maybe even licking it! Or Lamb or God guy throwing his shoes to the crowd. I swear my vocabulary shrunk being there, every other word being a ‘fuck’ or a ‘motherfuck’.

Hey, here's something I haven't done in a while -- featured a song that I initially heard on the radio while driving to and from work! I first heard this song -- maybe a month or two ago? Bit longer? -- and enjoyed it quite a bit, but unfortunately I either wasn't paying attention to the name displayed on my radio, or simply straight-up didn't remember it, so I couldn't feature it then. Fortunately it came back on earlier this week, and THIS time I made sure to commit the name to memory so I could look it up on YouTube afterward. :p Anyway, there are two main reasons I wanted to share this song with all of you:

First off, I feel like this song is good for all of us who are trying to weather the Storm Of Absolute Bullshit that is upon us. A rallying cry to remember that our love, our faith, our laughter, our dancing will be stronger than any of the nonsense and horrors foisted upon us. It's encouraging, and we need that.

And second -- Valicer In The Dark song. XD My initial thought was that this was specifically Smiler and the Advocates taunting Bob Wickerman and the Beornen (especially the "my laughter is stronger than your shouting will ever be" and "my dancing is better than your marching will ever be" bits), but I think it's possible to expand it to the whole trio essentially shouting defiance at those who try to keep them down and crush them under their heel. They will not be stopped, and their love will be stronger than your hate!

So yeah -- one reason applicable to anybody going through tough times, and one specific to me and my bizarre AU I love so much. :P Enjoy!
