1. Rivella, more exact the Refresh variant. I know I know you never heard of that, it's a Swiss thing made with whey. Yes, I said whey.
2. Negroni: gin, vermouth and Campari, refreshing crunchy bitterness. The only other cocktail I'll take, thank you.
3. Coffee, short. Shorter. Because taste is very important and I don't care about caffeine (I'm one of those 10% not really sensitive to it)
4. A milkshake - made on ice with a banana, a teaspoon honey, an espresso and some nutmeg. Fine for a weekend morning (or later, depending when you wake up)
5. Beer, who would have thought. And no, Bud or Heineken are not beers, just have a lemon water instead - or if you really want booze, some vodka shots.
I'll tag in turn @solomonar-culbec, @genunchiilumii, @trishamaeva, @foxinthewheatfield, @rattopotato and everybody else who enjoys it!
The moment River has been waiting for since she started her Visual Arts degree has finally arrived, the graduating student exhibition. Four years of hard work has finally paid off and is now up in one of London's biggest and most popular art galleries for everyone and everyone to look at, which River finds both exciting and terrifying.

It had been mere seconds since they pulled into the parking lot of the art gallery and all Ella could see was the furrowed brows and pursed lips that painted River’s face. Something was bugging her on her big night and Ella knew she had to get to the bottom of it. She reached over to the passenger side and gently rested her hand on her girlfriend’s thigh, pulling her out of her daze.
“Riv, you alright, hun?” Ella asked, concern written across her features. River turned her head but instantly averted her gaze away, unable to make eye contact for more than a moment.
“Yeah, I’m just a little nervous is all,” She slips her hand into Ella’s, sandwiching their clasped fingers with her other hand, “Like, my work is up in a professional gallery setting and so many people are going to see it and judge it, and that’s… that’s pretty scary. Exciting too, of course, but I guess I’m just worried that it’s not gonna reach the right audience y’know?”
“Totally understandable sweetheart, it’s always scary to put out something as vulnerable as your art and worry about the uncertainty of its audience reception. But trust me, there will always be someone among the crowd that will see your creations and think about them forever,” The brunette reassures, her thumb smoothing circles onto her girlfriend’s skin, “Even it it’s only one person, someone will care about it, and they’ll carry that appreciation with them always,”
River pauses, taking in a long deep inhale, holding it in for a couple seconds before letting it out nice and slow, taking in Ella’s words as she breathes. The fear of uncertainty will always be there, but it can be ignored when you focus on the thought that even if there’s only one person that likes what you’ve made, then it was worth it. And with a quick nod of determination, she turns her head to look at Ella, allowing herself to keep eye contact, “Let’s head in,”
“That’s my girl!” Ella cheered, leaning over the center console to lightly press a kiss to the brunette’s cheek.
They walk into the building bustling with energy, with students, family members, and general art enthusiasts alike filling the building, not a single nook or cranny empty. River is sure this is the biggest turnout of her university career. Ella takes Rivers hand, lacing their fingers, and nods her head forward as a gesture, as if to say ‘lead the way’, allowing herself to be taken through the gallery.
As they peruse the first floor exhibit of the first, second and third year students' artworks, River explains any information she knows about the pieces and the artists that made them as if she’s Ella’s personal tour guide. Anticipation builds as they take in the last few works on the ground floor, knowing that the countdown to touring the fourth year exhibition is coming closer and closer.
Obviously River knows that Ella has seen all her work a million times, but her nerves are still causing butterflies to jitter around in her stomach at the thought of her seeing it all hung along the gallery walls.
The pair walk through the lobby again and run into a few of River’s classmates, so they stop to chat, the brunette introducing them to Ella and vice versa. Having those familiar faces be there amongst the plethora of strangers calmed the fluttering swarm, helped River feel ready to head up the pristine staircase to the second floor.
The back wall immediately catches their eyes, painted a bright peachy orange with ‘Honours Exhibition’ in large vinyl letters across the top, the names and statements of each fourth year student spanning the length.
River’s section is in the dead center of them all and as they approach it she drops Ella’s hand, wandering toward it as if it were a beacon, like a ship to a lighthouse. She stands in front of the wall, clasping her hands together in front of her mouth as a smile spreads across her cheeks and tears of joy welled up in her eyes.
Ella snaps a quick picture from behind – knowing her girlfriend will appreciate the candid shot – before returning to River’s side, her hand brushing against her back to rest on her hip.
“I did it, I really did it,” River whispers, just loud enough for the brunette’s ears to pick it up.
“You sure did love,” Ella praised, pulling the shorter woman closer, her free hand running along River’s forearm, “I'm so proud of you,”
River turns and wraps her arms around Ella’s waist, pulling her into an embrace, to which the latter instantly reciprocates the hug, rubbing her back comfortingly. And after a deep breath and a couple of sniffles, River pulls back, dark eyes meeting hazel ones as she blinks back the few tears that were glazing her eyes. The brunette grabs a tissue from the travel pack she always keeps in her purse, carefully drying the remaining wetness so she doesn’t disrupt River’s eyeliner.
If it weren’t for the fact she was just about sobbing, River would say this moment was quite romantic.
Blinking away any tears that were still on the horizon of her waterline, River couldn’t contain her smile, “Thank you, for being there for me through all this,”
“Of course my darling, you know I’ll always be your biggest supporter no matter what,” Ella assures her as the couple steal a quick kiss, “Now come on, we have to finish the rest of our tour,”
The two spend the rest of their time in the gallery hand-in-hand, sporting matching smiles as they explore the remaining works in the exhibition, River going into detail about her classmates' works, which Ella thoroughly enjoys. She adores the sparkle in River’s eyes as she speaks so passionately.
The event ends with a small awards ceremony, which River never gets her hopes up for to avoid disappointment, which makes it all that more surprising when her name is called for one of the biggest awards of the night – and for her favorite piece she had showcased. The pride Ella feels for her is unmatched, clapping the loudest of anyone in the building and giving River the biggest hug when she walks back to her from the podium.
River felt like she was living inside a fantasy, that she was about to wake up and find out it was just a dream, but it was real. All her hard work and dedication has finally paid off, her artwork was being showcased in the biggest gallery in town, and she had the most supportive girlfriend by her side through it all.
A blissful look painted her face for the rest of the evening, and as she and Ella were walking out of the gallery at the end of the night, that’s when it hit her, she was finally living her dream.

A non extensive list of fics I'd want to write, but do not have the time or the will or both. hmu if you wanna take one of these:
Skloom Pirates of The Caribbean AU, where Sky's being married off to governor's daughter Stella, but truly he's in love with the girl who washed up their ship when he was a kiddo and who may or may not be a pirate's kid, Bloom. You know the rest of the story.
That one awful AU where Skloom take a break during the war, by Sky's decision, but Bloom is not happy about it and Riven is pissed at Sky for not noticing he was under mind control and RivBloom end up fucking except that it's horrible for everyone involved because Riv catches feelings for Bloom, but is guilty and B is still very much in love with Sky and-
Riven/Stella who start hooking up when he just wore off mind control and he does not care about her, he doesn't, except he does and Stella treats him like a dirty secret during daylight and this is just a rerun of his bs with Bea, no? Everyone feels awful all the time, enemies to lovers, but make it angsty.
Skloom cooking for each other. That's literally the entire fic.
Riventrix Superhero AU, where Riven is hiding his secret hero identity from the hottie he met in art gallery and in turn Bea is hiding her secret super villain identity and also her dad is the local super villain who beats Riven and his league of heroes on the regular. Tons of whump and Riv hiding injuries. Eventually he figures it out, but it's too late because he's already in love with Bea.
Rivusa Sex Addict AU, where Sky forces Riven to seek out therapy for his sex addiction and the counselor is Musa and Riven sets out to get in her pants, but falls in love in the process and this was. NOT. THE. PLAN!!
Saundreas Divorced AU, where they're both lawyers, except Andreas took on the case of Rosalind despite Saul begging him not to and that she was a fucking criminal, but Andreas argued money is money, so Saul divorced his ass to make a point and now they pass each other passive aggressive messages via their son, Sky, who's very much over these two imbeciles.
