Kayak away into one of the worldś largest river caves in Laos!
If you are sincerely willing to travel to a place where discovery never ceases, the Xe Bang Fai river cave is the way to go. Buried deep in central Laos, somewhere in the middle of the the limestone pinnacles of Khammouane province, finding this remote cave itself is one hell of an adventure, let alone the experiences after you finally arrive. Till date only a few hundred foreign travelers could enter this river cave.
Nong Ping is the nearest village to reach the entrance of the cave. So, it is best to stay at the community guesthouse here. Both inflatable and wooden kayaks are are availble for the exploration.
If you are lucky enough to enter the hidden cave, keep a watch out for one of the lasrgest rimstone basins; worldś largest spider; hexagonal pearls lined up like monsterś eggs near the dragonś hatchery and much more. For extended adventure, you can camp next to the jade-hued pool right at the mouth of the river cave.
