well, the sisters of alpha and brothers of kappa invite you to a HALLOWEEN RAGER at the kappa house. as always, expect a night filled with nonsensical debauchery and enough candy to cause you a stomachache in the morning. you must wear a costume to be admitted into the party. bring your friends !

october 2017 — ❝ IN THIS TOWN WE CALL HOME, EVERYONE HAIL TO THE PUMPKIN SONG! ❞

fall is always a favorite time of year at riverbank. cooler weather, changing leaves, and pumpkin items galore. to celebrate the spirit, riverbank university is pleased to announce its 23RD ANNUAL HALLOWEEN FAIR. this fair is one of the largest and most unique halloween gatherings to occur in the southeastern region. join along to see some of the most electrifying, strangest, daring, and gaudiest costumes to dare to strut through the campus. there will be numerous stages set up with live bands and entertainment, as well as a parade to close out the night. whether you’re chomping down on candied apples or going through the haunted peach hall, there’s plenty to do and see at the fair. so grab and friend and head on down !

the best part ? there will be a $1,000.00 first prize for the best costume of the evening -- so bring your a-game ! the competition will be stiff.

a scream, a gunshot, a warning siren !

none of the refugees had expected their day to take such a horrific turn. but during a graveyard shift, one of the fatigued and starving guards dozed off at one of the most vital entrances to the camp. he didn’t stand a chance. by the time he was awake, zombies were devouring him whole and broke into the camp.

not one zombie, not two -- but a swarm.

riverbank camp is now compromised and it is now every man for itself. the only objective: SURVIVE.

❛ — AU EVENT #01: THEY’RE RISING BACK UP

can you feel them crawling down your back?             can you feel them breathing down your neck?

april 5th, 1534. february 13th, 1925. january 1st, 2000. december 21st, 2012. since the beginning of time, society has attempted to predict when it would all end. some imagined floods and other natural disasters that would wipe the earth away ; others assumed it would be the collision of the sun that destroy the world filled with billions. but the truth was, the apocalypse came in the form of a big pop culture phenomenon — ZOMBIES.

the end of the world began on june 14th, 2012. now over FIVE years later, it is doubtful that there will ever be any hope and redemption on this place that formerly used to be known as EARTH. but a small camp on the outskirts of atlanta, georgia known as RIVERBANK have come together to keep one another sane. however, outsiders and power-hungry survivors within threaten to tear that apart. this is the new world order, after all, and some believe that those who are too weak to keep up will have to be left behind.

AU EVENT #01: zombie apocalypse – september 2017 ( alternate reality * ) DATES: july 6 at 10a pst to july 21 at 11:59P pst

* please keep in mind that in this alternate reality, riverbank is only a survival camp and not a university. this gives everyone a chance to try out new dynamics and connections. the members have the freedom to choose if they are an existing member of the camp, or a newcomer. your characters’ reasons for coming to riverbank, as well as how they interact with others, are entirely up to you to revamp.

RULES OF THE WORLD

zombies are caused by a formerly dormant virus that lies within the entire human population. due to this, a person can become a zombie by being bitten / scratched OR by dying of natural causes and reanimating as a zombie.

there is said to be a cure for the virus located in atlanta, but its whereabouts are currently unknown.

while the apocalypse hit over five years ago, riverbank wasn’t established as a camp until spring of 2014 -- over three years ago. the camp was started by astoria and cameron lockwood.

zombies can only be killed by a gunshot through the brain, decapitation, or impalement through the head.

no one is allowed to leave the camp during the hours of 8pm - 7am, unless they’re on guard or resources duty. any unauthorized exits and entrances is a cause for punishment.

women and children get first admittance to the camp.

there are only TWO working vans for the entire camp. if someone wishes to use one of the vehicles, they must check with THE APPOINTED.

the appointed is the reason the camp exists and runs smoothly. they are a small counsel ( commander, advisor, and enforcer ) and are seen as the leaders of the camp. commander is the highest position. the advisor serves as the voice of the people. and the enforcer insights fear and order.

each survivor is only allotted TWO meals a day. any unauthorized access to the kitchen is a cause for punishment.

each survivor, no matter the age, must take on a job at the camp. the jobs are the following: GUARDS, MEDICS, RESOURCES, KITCHEN, ACADEMICS. the guards and resources group have the most dangerous job since they are more likely to be in contact with a zombie. guards protect the camp while resources hunt for food, medicine, and supplies. medics deal with any health issues. the kitchen crew handle meals and inventory. and the academics either work on a cure, inventing new weapons, and teach the children of the camp.

the newest refugees of the camp ( DUBBED THE OUTSIDERS ) must endure two weeks of hazing before they’re considered OFFICIAL members of the camp. some have arrived to steal from the camp, some to take over the camp, and some to be apart of a sense of family.
