Such sadness Ms Jackie as we called her passed little over a week ago, so Loved by the community who she fed since 1972 keeping prices low for everyone to enjoy. She made the very best ever Pineapple Upside Down Cake, she a old Hillbilly from Alabama that still has real Skillet Cornbread n Pinto Beans on the menu. Her youngins now keep the famous diner going and same low prices. No meals on the menu over 6 bucks, all Soups and Chili 2 bucks per bowl all house made. What’s cool they hired 4 employees from the old Grandport Cafe who staying around. I had the Wednesday special Beef Short Ribs come with Veggies, Double Scoop Mashed Taters n Rolls only 6 bucks, she had the Chopped Burger plate with Coleslaw, Taters and a Bowl of Chicken n Dumplings a Bowl of Chili too both only 2 bucks. Thanks Chesley for the great service. Folks feed your family for half price than any restaurant in our state.
