I believe we're losing the art of celebrating God for being God in corporate worship. Mainstream worship songs focus more on the broken human condition and less on the God we're present to praise. We no longer sing about Jesus alone simply because He is worthy of it. I think we've forgotten the freedom, the surging of the Holy Spirit, when we sing to Him alone. Focusing on God restores our relationship with Him, renews our charge into battle, replenishes the love for our fellow believers because we're seeing them the way Jesus sees us. “Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and the earth; Yours is the dominion, O LORD, and You exalt Yourself as head over all. ~1 Chronicles 29:11 Where are we mentioned? That's the point. We don't have to be in it, because by admitting Jesus is the Head over all, we've placed ourselves into submission to His authority. (There you are!)
