This is just a short extract from Andy Goldsworthy's documentary 'Rivers and Tides' that shows some of his pieces in motion as they are slowly washed away over time.

Rivers and Tides

Of all the movies we've watched in class, Maya Lin's Rivers and Tides was definitely my favorite. I liked that every sculpture or design he created was of or from the earth and only temporary. I appreciate the amount of patience he has in his work, knowing it's life span is short. The effort he put into his pine cone structures and having them repeatedly fall made me frustrated just watching it, much less being the artist. Throughout the movie, I thought dyeing the river with the powder from the rocks that came from the river was really amazing.
