Scenes along the river bank

This is what we saw yesterday on a walk upstream along the river on what may well have been the last warm day of the year before the autumn really kicks in. In the spirit of trying to live each day as best we can, it was a case of taking the opportunity to do this walk while we could. In another two months, a lot of this valley could well be waterlogged or even flooded…

Visited Zion National Park for the first time last weekend~

Sandstone Cliffs and a Waterfall (Zion National Park) by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: Here I took quite a few images of the small waterfall but what drew me into this image was the contrast between the intricate patterns carved into the sandstone cliffs and the simple beauty of a waterfall.
