Working after midnight always feels like borrowing time from tomorrow.
The emails stop arriving. The messages slow down. The room settles into the kind of silence that only a computer fan and a keyboard know how to interrupt.
I like this version of work more.
There's less performance in it. Nobody is watching whether you're busy. It's just you, whatever you're trying to finish, and the soft glow of a screen turning the room blue enough to forget what time it is.
The black hoodie becomes a blanket more than an outfit. The light stays the same while the hours quietly disappear.
Some nights aren't about staying awake.
They're about staying with the idea until it's finally finished.
