The theory of entrainment in Physics states that some specific sounds increase the rate of your heartbeat. For me, Mandira... that specific sound has always been the sound of your laughter. -- Rizvahn Khan | My Name Is Khan

For me, Mandira, that specific sound has always been the sound of your laughter.
Mandira’s father: You can marry that Muslim or remain our daughter. That boy… Mandira: His name is Rizvan Khan. Sam and I affectionately call him Khan. Mandira’s mother: Look, my dear, I understand. You’ve started a new salon, it’s a new city. To share this newfound happiness you need a partner in your life. We want that for you. So we can place an ad in the internet, the newspaper. There are so many nice Hindu boys… Mandira: You’re right mom, let’s place an ad. Go ahead. But I’ll tell you what to write in it.
Mandira and her parents (deleted scene).

MY NAME IS KHAN - RIZVAN
I wonder why we can't all just be genuine.
I really do. Forgive me for being corny and too utopian, but this is something I really believe in. Why do we have to perpetuate this whole "teenage-angst" thing that we've heard so much about just because it's the norm? How about we actually get to know people before judging them completely? Even the fact that I have apologize for this post being "corny" saddens me. It is because I have to distinguish myself from the cliche, fake-activist type teenagers that we have an abundance of. Now, I'm not a saint and I do my share of gossiping (damn ain't that true), but I don't hate people just because of stupid, shallow reasons such as "they are a loser" or "they're ugly." We seem to all complain about not having a best friend and feeling lonely and such, but you should not worry so much about being accepted and all that and worry on accepting others. Why do you yearn for a best friend so badly? Is it because everybody else has a best friend, or is it because you genuinely feel lonely? I'm not suggesting that we become fake or two-faced with everybody, nor am I suggesting that we become so brutally honest that it therefore steps into being rude, but we should separate ourselves from the status-quo and end this whole "Mean Girls" I'm-a-bitch-just-because-I'm-a-teenager stigma. If we accept and perhaps even predict that we will be genuine, and hence mature (which is my other point) as adults, why can't we just start now as teenagers? I appreciate all of you who take the time to read this, but also, do your best to implement it into your own lives as will I. Thanks! :)
My name is Rizvan Khan. I might seem a little ‘different’ to you. That is because I have Aspergers Syndrome. It is named after Dr Hans Asperger who first noticed the traits in children. Having Aspergers does not mean I am stupid. I am very intelligent, but I don’t understand people. I don’t know why people say things they don’t mean. For example, they say come to my house any time, and when I go to their house they say why have you come at this time? Sometimes people think I am rude. I don’t mean to be rude, being rude is not good. My mother said there are only good people and bad people in the world and I am a good person ...
