Good news if you're still taking it; even though my depression tried to stop me because I knew it was going to be a long and exhausting day, I went over to a friend's place to play Twilight Imperium. Even got to try Bloodrage for the first time. Had a great day, contrary to what my mind was trying to tell me this morning, feels like a victory!

I love that you shared this, because you’re living by example a thing I constantly have to tell myself: Future You is going to be so happy that you spent time with friends, and got out of the house. Future You deserves to be happy, so do something kind for Future You, even though Present You is having a really hard time. Future You is going to be so grateful to Past You, they’ll likely end up doing something kind for another person, and ... BAM! You’ve put kindness and joy into the world, all because you made a deliberate choice to do it.

Something nice that happened today is that I set up a second videocall 'date' for next week with someone I met on Bumble, and this connection seems to be going well for as far I can tell

So. Um. I’m back. I didn’t mean to disappear for like… Years. I’ve thought about making this post a hundred times but the longer I was away the worse I felt about being away and that made it even harder to come back and it just spiraled.

Basically, I went back to school. And my depression got bad. Worst it’s ever been, actually. And I withdrew. From everything and everyone. I didn’t want to talk to people because I was sure no one wanted to hear me complain, and nothing was fun anymore, so why even bother?

Things are better now. So, so much better. I’m on a different medication. I got a full time staff position in my school library so now I can take classes for free and at my own pace instead of needing a certain number of credit hours to keep my student job. So, I’m back. I miss tumblr and I miss my friends. I hope I still have friends here, because you guys are seriously some of the most awesome people I’ve ever had the pleasure of interacting with.
