without doing much, sphere had answered one question eunji had for a while. would they add any more girls and if they would, when. the answer came in the form of more auditions and now they finally had more people joining the roaster. and now it was time for her to introduce herself. ( after the company made the first ones. )

it was just a little bit before they had to start the group practice for glass shoes. "hello! and welcome to heartz." eunji bowed her head to the other girl, "i'm eunji and i'll ask you right off the bat, how do you feel about our group evaluation?" it was half and half when for her when it came to this one. the song wasn’t her style but the dance was enough of a challenge to keep her interested in. and more than that, she just wanted to make some conversation.

The building itself had a familiar vibe as KT, it was as though she could feel the raw talent vibrate through its walls. To a humble trainee such as herself and be considered in a debuting idol group by another company, it was safe to say that Chaeyeon felt utterly overwhelmed with all this. Entering Sphere solidified the buzz that’s humming through her veins. 

Biting down her lower lip, a nervous habit she could never get rid of, she looks around the busy pristine entranceway. Pictures Sphere’s hallways had posters after posters of their chart-topping idols amongst other talents. Trying to get too distracted, Chaeyeon approached the a kind, pretty looking girl for help. “Uhm, excuse me,” tapping on her shoulder, Chaeyeon smiles at her politely, “I was wondering you could help me find, uh this practice room?” Pointing at her phone where the email was held to where she needed to go and report to.

Flabbergasted is the only word she could possibly use to describe how she was feeling about being picked first. Taeyeon is still in shock in the first couple days trying to process the news that’ll be debuting first with her solo song which is not the usual way it goes, she really could feel the pressure looming over her shoulders as she can not fail. Thankfully, she got other girls to lean on for support and the fact some of them were certain that she was going to be the first girl especially Sua she straight called it like she already knew what was going to happen. It got Taeyeon thinking maybe she can predict future or something or she really good knowing things, seriously can this girl get any cooler?  The excited trainee bounced over to find her fortune-telling friend to question her mystic abilities but really just wanted to thank her for being supportive. 

The moment she caught Bora on her sights she happily bounced over her with excitement glistening in her eyes, “I did it Sua!! They picked me!! Out of all the others! They picked little old me which funny cause I’m small and old but still isn’t this great?!” she chirped with bright glowing smile painting her face as genuinely still in disbelief that she was chosen. “And you!! You said from the straight that they going to pick me, I honestly didn’t believe in you but it’s proof I should always trust anything you say especially when it comes to predictions. I bet you would be great at the casino, we probably win a lot of money with your skills. I do think you got really good poker face too~” she rambled on only cause she overwhelmed with so many emotions she couldn’t help but talk since that she tends to do in these types of situations. “I mean thank you for believing me...always even when I had my doubts and gave me some tough love for good needing wake up call- I couldn’t have done it without you being here...so I’m glad that are you-”

It is clear as any summer day that she has been acting differently. In the midst of the whirlwind that is the first month of Sphere’s experiment debut group, there is wonder if anyone would notice at all. Chaeyeon does not think she stands out particularly than any of the girls she’s now training with, but she has made some friends amongst them. Even if one doesn’t know her for a long time the sudden difference in her attitude from when they began to now is startlingly different. 

She silent stands beside Sua, sighing right after their coaches dismissed them for the group practice. Unaware of her own actions, she turns towards the older girl and instead of giving Sua her usual smile, Chaeyeon sighs again. “Solo practice?” Asking in her uniquely small voice, barely a whisper but loud enough to be heard by those beside her.

This would not be the first time she uses and evaluation to let out some of her emotional tribulations live in front of an audience. When Chaeyeon was younger she used to be able to do this so easily when it came to acting. Although her preferred outlet has been dancing but was slightly tainted for her due to her mother's connection to it. Yet the same could easily be said when it came to acting hence why she no longer does it.

However, Chaeyeon had initially not picked this song for the reason she is currently performing it at the moment. Yes, this was supposed to be about her lost love, but her intentions were to sing about him in a mournful manner for the last time. Chaeyeon had wanted to stop making everything about him because it's been three months already, literally the same time as when this whole experiment started. But even the heartz project has lost its novelty to Chaeyeon. She genuinely thought this would be her farewell song to him.

But for whatever reason faith. Destiny. God?! Has it out for her, when the last thing she expected to happen two days before her evaluation performance was to see Taeyang during the weekend event and completely annihilated any progress Chaeyeon has made all this time. It was different, seeing him this time hit her harder than the last time. Perhaps it was precisely because it was completely unexpected- the whole meeting was a mere coincidence. Suddenly, one of the very aspects of him that she admired the most, Chaeyeon briefly hated. Why did he have to be a performer like she is?

Yet she despised herself for even entertaining such a thought right after it occurred. So now this performance feels as though she was reaching to him, to genuinely try and get answers from the one person who needed to hear this the most.  As she slowly makes her way to the centre of the room, Chaeyeon tries to calm her drumming heart. She does not want to have a complete breakdown in front of everyone. No matter how much she has been enduring these last couple of months, not only with her personal life but with how uneasy the other trainees were making her feel. The last thing she needed is for anyone to think that she has finally broken down under the pressure, at the very least.
