as soon as she was back on south korean soil she felt an immediate sense of relief, she had liked both iceland and london but nothing was like home. it wasn't long until she was back at sphere, first she had dropped by the dorm to drop of her things but after that she had gone to the sphere building to see the other girls. smiling widely she wondered how they all were doing if everything was working out.

in her hand she held a bag, a bag of gifts that she had bought while in iceland that she wanted to give to the girls ( yes even the new ones that she hadn't gotten around to meet properly ).

the first person she saw at sphere was eunji and she smiled widely and with excited steps she approached the female, "eunji," she muses happily once she's caught up with the female. she hadn't been gone for long but she felt like it had been such a long time since she had seen the female, or any other trainees ( with the exception of luda and minhee of course ), "are you busy?"

˟ ▀   the great debate .

this month’s evaluation is one of annoyance.  

sua thought that she already had some vague semblance of an idea for what she wanted to perform solo wise this month until sphere upended her plans and threw her to the streets.  she can’t say that she’s all that surprised, though  -  it seems they really have a knack for it.  but preparing a solo song that’s focused simply on her vocals makes her realize that they already know what they’re looking for this month.  and this month, it won’t be her.  

unsurprising.

it seems she isn’t the only one struggling with a shifting song choice, though.  eunji has been looking torn at her phone for the past ten minutes, so sua knows something is up.  unlike her, eunji actually cares about debut, so the worry on her face is evident.  waving her hand to get the younger trainee’s attention, she stares at her blankly.  “ give it up.  which songs are you torn between?  it’s written all over your face, you know.”

Spica was coming to their idol cafe and jongsuk had to admit, he was a bit excited at the prospect of an established girl group (nothing on the rookie groups), but in his eyes, Spica was almost the ultimate girl group. They could all sing, they could all dance and they were all smoking hot that even his bisexual ass could thirst over them. Granted however that he wasn’t the only host, he decided to approach his lovely cohost and ask her what her opinion was on the group. A varied concept girl group had to peak her interest, right? 

So, while they were getting ready, he tried not to look as trashy as he usually did when he walked over to eunji. “So, what do you think of Spica?” he asked, looking over her makeup before reaching over for a brush to assist a bit. “Wouldn’t you love to have a concept like theirs or do you see something more interesting in your future?” he asked, powdering her face with a grin. He was a makeup guru, so he knew how to make one self shine on the camera.

˟ ▀   going solo .

this project is going to be a pain in the ass.  that’s the first thing that she thought of when sua was listening to the coaches tell them how all of this was going to work.  truthfully, it just seemed to be set up for failure if they want the girls to quote, unquote “ play nice” but that’s way above her pay grade to worry about.  right now, the most that she can do is what they ask of her and pray that things work out the way they’re supposed to  (  preferably with her leaving sphere, but that’s something else entirely.  )  

for now, she’s picking through songs that could potentially work as her solo for the month, eyes narrowed as she flicks through her selection of music.  her eyes flick up when she hears someone enter the room only to see eunji, coming in.  sua doesn’t say anything at first, a little unsure if asking eunji about her own solo is going to cause a major chaotic break but  -  she figures that the other girl is cool headed enough that sharing ideas won’t hurt.  “ have you picked out your solo song? .. it’s okay if you don’t want to tell me what it is.”  sua pauses, her lips turning downward for just a second.  “ i’m just looking for mine, so don’t mind me.”

Idol Cafe ||

ep 2 recording with AND*ROMA 

The first episode had been very surprisingly popular to the extent of even getting their names into a netizen post. While this wasn’t the ideal opportunity that he’s always wanted (a chance to show off those singing chops), this was a given opportunity for him to show off his charisma and variety skills, which was still pretty great.

He had been very excited for the second episode and when he,d heard who their guests would be, he was even more excited since he knew some of them from the time on mnet global auditions season 3 and while he hadn’t been the winner it would fun to catch up with the girls he used to know.

As was typical for recording days, he sat before the mirror adjusting his hair and touching up his makeup since he was pretty good at it and the stylist noonas had accepted that he knew best for himself. He was handed the script and he excitedly looked over before finding his cohost and wish her luck as well. It was together that they succeeded on the first episode. It would be together that they would succeed on all the following episodes

besides, they played off each other well. The fun and charismatic one was jongsuk and the cool and collected one was Eunji. They worked well together and that was all that they could do at the time.

Seeing the girls that he used to be on the mgas with was quite exciting. But today wasn’t about that. They were here as and*roma and that’s how jongsuk was going to treat them. After all, Luxe hadn’t gotten special treatment just because he knew Ella from the mgas. He would be professional and thank the gods every day for the opportunity that he was given to bond with idol groups and become closer to them on their own level despite being a lowly trainee.

idol cafe: august 2020 guests: eclipse   

this is his last episode. he almost wants to cry but he can’t. he’s heartbroken at being replaced. like he wasn’t good enough to keep his spot. it wounds him. he prepared in the same way he did all episodes, eager to show their guests a good time. a part of him was glad that it was eclipse and not karma. if it was his girls, he wouldn’t be able to live it down at all. It was just eclipse, though, which made it slightly easier. 

the pain was there however. with every question, with every laugh, he just tried to keep his happiness. eunji had been incredible and he was so glad to have made a new friend out of this whole thing. he kept laughing and asking questions, having fun with the members of eclipse, but seeing them as a group, once again reminded jongsuk of what an actual failure he was. all that confidence and charisma was just airs and a way to hide his true feelings about the whole thing. he wanted to debut so badly, but he was sure that was once again not in the cards for him. he wanted to cry but he’d be strong and show everyone a brave face. 

when the filming finished and the girl group left, jongsuk politely bowed to the staff of their spop show. “thank you for taking care of me this entire time for the past six months. i knew it was coming, but still this being my last episode makes me really sad,” he said, polite. “thank you for being a guiding hand through this entire time and i have learned so much from all of you,” he added, straightening himself with a sad smile. 

he was sad to leave. he then turned  to eunji and grinned at her. “let’s stay friends, alright oppa is always around to support!” he grinned, shooting her a peace sign, before leaving the filming. upon arrival at home though, he slid down the wall in his room in tears. he had wanted this so much and it was taken away from him. what was he going to do now? he was unsure, but maybe those nine days of vacation could help him.

「 Routine 」

These things happen all the time when one is a part of an exclusive group. Eunbi personally thought it is rather sweet and heartwarming. What started out as an observation for one solo performance, became a regular on the monthly. She remembers joining Eunji in the very practice room she is currently sneaking into, so she can watch the other trainee and provide her with constructive criticism for the evaluation that month. The favour has supportively been returned, of course, and now that she’s debuting, Eunbi wanted Eunji to share a part of this moment with her. 

“Eunji-unnie!” Shuffling further into the room, calling out to the older girl as she tries not to startle her with her sudden appearance. Pulling back the hood that fully covered her head, Eunbi giddily points at her newly dyed hair. “Look! It’s now brown! For this September!”
