dear jayce, 

          congratulations! i heard your girlfriend’s pregnant. fiance? i’m not sure . . . but i’m really happy for you! i know it’s what you’ve always wanted. i just wanted to congratulate you and to tell you . . . thank you for having loved me before. thank you for letting us both move on after the last time we saw each other in seoul. thank you for trying to be there for me after my mother . . . just . . . thank you, and i’m sorry i didn’t let you in. i’m sorry we didn’t end up being that high school couple that made it like we used to joke about when we were young. 

          i’m sorry i made things awkward for you to go to your own friend’s wedding. i really hope you still go . . . i’m actually not sure i can go anymore. i did it, you know. i’m going to debut, can you believe it? ugh, now i just feel like i’m bragging but i wanted you to know because you helped me discover my love of music. you’re the one who signed me up for singing competitions and talent shows even though i would threaten you not to as your girlfriend. you did it anyway because i loved to sing. i still do and i know you’re one of the people i have to thank for that. when your baby is born, i’d love to meet him or her one day. i’d like to see you again too, smiling brighter than the last time we met. be happy jayce, you’ve always deserved happiness.

who is your favorite and least favorite roommate?

{` — stifles a laugh because this question amuses him to no end. favorite roommate? they all goof around with each other and he’s pretty sure he has to get revenge on someone for hiding his phone in the fridge he might’ve left it there but they all point the finger at each other so same difference } Favorite is gonna be … Jayce hyung because he feeds me and drives me places sometimes. Priorities and everything, you know. Least favorite, I’ma have to go with … Duck hyung because he wouldn’t let me borrow his HBA shirt but it’s cool, it’s cool. {` — if it’s not cool, why is he bringing it up, right? he’s joking around to be honest because he can’t pick a least favorite. oh wait } Can I redo that part? My least favorite is Champ. I think Duck hyung hides his kicks now because of that dog.

to be honest, yongguk didn't know what he was doing out this late at night. sometimes, when the male needed to get his mind off of things or maybe even just some fresh air after spending a whole day at the studio, he wandered. luckily, he knew his way around town. otherwise, he probably would have gotten lost. sometimes, what was supposed to be a fifteen minute walk would turn into a two hour long one. sometimes, he'd just be going in circles without even noticing it. these nights were the best nights. where it was really late and the streets were a bit more emptied out. when he was able to admire the city lights and find parts of the city he never knew about before. when he put his headphones on and was able to listen to his favorite artists. yongguk was a man with dreams of exploring and never ending curiosity.

however, this particular night was a bit different from the others. very different actually. yongguk was doing his usual thing- roaming the streets- until he saw a familiar face on the streets, a very drunk familiar face. yongguk blinked, trying to think of where he knew this person. since the two weren't paying too much attention, they bumped into each other. suddenly it clicked. his name was jayce, right? yongguk knew him from his old school, mostly seeing him around the halls and hearing his name every here and there. he may have been in a few of his classes, but he couldn't really remember that well.

the other seemed a bit upset at first, thinking yongguk was trying to get in his way on purpose. he didn't recognize yongguk. there was no way yongguk was going to let this drunk dude just walk by himself this late at night. who knows what type of shit he could get himself into? and so, yongguk managed to somehow convince him to come to his apartment. it wasn't that much work surprisingly.

after he brought the other to his apartment, he gave him plenty of water- to try to get the alcohol out of his system and make his hangover a bit less painful. after about an hour of listening to his drunken ramblings, the male passed out on his couch. yongguk decided to call it a night and go to sleep, predicting that the other would be in deep sleep for a while.

...

the next morning. yongguk stood in the kitchen sipping on coffee, as he waited for the other to wake up the next morning. the male on the couch began to wake up and yongguk walked over hesitantly. "morning, jayce," he greeted in a quiet manner, not even sure where to begin with his explanation. it was weird to wake up in random person's place. "i'm not sure if you remember me, but we went to high school together. i saw you wandering around the streets last night and you were pretty wasted, so i brought you over here to make sure you would be okay."
