their relationship had had a pretty bumpy start and at first kikwang couldn't quite point out what exactly bothered him about yuri. the older male was joohyuk's roommate and his cousin's best friend at that, and since he had very good relationships with them, he didn't understood why he couldn't stand yuri at first. but as periods went by and they eventually spent time together, he came to know him better and could understand that yuri was just as playful as joohyuk. and just like with joohyuk there were times, when kikwang couldn't stand their behaviour which was probably the main reason for his initial ill feelings for yuri.
but somehow things had changed, he thought that the other was more tolerable and easier to be around with now and in fact he liked the other's presence. they could have fun together, even when none of their mutual friends were with them. kikwang was a very shy guy to begin with, but with yuri's charisma he had been easily lured out of his shell.
some of his closest friends were participating in the mgas and since he had been eliminated pretty early, all he could do for now was to cheer them on. it was cool to see people on tv he actually knew, but it at the same time also felt incredibly lonely, considering the fact that he as well could have been up there, on that huge stage. despite his loneliness he still wanted to watch the live shows which was why he spontaneously moved over to joohyuk's and yuri's apartment. bringing some tteokbokki with him, he rung the bell and called out to the man who he was refering as his friend now: "yuri-hyung! it's me! are you there? do you want to watch the mgas together? i got food with me!"
