Red Lights announcement:

Chapter 24 will probably be posted tomorrow evening/night (26/12/23). I’m really sorry that I didn’t manage to post on time. I couldn’t write the last two chapters earlier since I had to wait for the vote results and then there was Christmas lmao

Also, I am very grateful for all the support I’ve gotten lately but also throughout the whole month <3 I can’t put it into words. I’ll come back to the feedback asap I promise 🥹

However, I won’t be answering asks about the ending or anything related to that. Even just sharing the asks I’ve gotten would spoil the whole ending without me even answering it 😭 it’ll make sense once chapter 25 is out. But I’ve literally created the whole story around a very specific thing that is characteristic about how I wrote the ending (or some of my stories in general) and I don’t want to destroy that. I hope you understand. Don’t hesitate to send in theories or something like that tho!

The winter theme. The eight contestants. The falling in love with someone new. The reality TV setting. I’m just waiting for mc to appear from around the corner 😭

I suppose you mean the structure/concept itself?

The story is about the reader who participates in a reality TV show and soon realises that she actually already knows all the other candidates from real life. The purpose of the show is that mc has to choose one of the eight at the end of the show (as her boyfriend, similar to Bachelorette).

It is basically like a Christmas calender (each day until 25/12/23 another chapter gets added) and at the end of each chapter, readers can make a decision and choose an option how the story unfolds (by selecting the tumblr poll at the end of the post, it’s all anonymous). This will determine what happens next—it can be small details like for instance whose background story we see next or what happens on a date but they will get more severe, I promise.

The polls are always up for 24h and then a new chapter drops. Sometimes, when the last poll doesn’t determine the next chapter (but another one in the future instead) I post the next episode a little earlier. But the poll will still be up and taken into consideration!!

I hope this makes sense and that I didn’t spoil anything from the plot too much 🥹 we are currently half way through (episode 13) but you can still read it now! The only small “disadvantage” is that you can’t make a decision on the polls 1-12 anymore but that isn’t bad imo :)
