Rick is being a Rick, Jerry and Beth are wallowing in self pity, and only Morty actually cares about Summer’s feelings out of anyone in her family. I’d leave too.

Like, I get the anti-nihilism angle here of “everything sucks, come watch TV” but that doesn’t change the very real emotionally abusive thing her parents just did to her. Maybe I’m getting hung up on something outside the focus of the episode again but that really should have consequences.
