Romeo, the Cold & Juliet, the forgetful. II Untold Odd Stories
Give me my Romeo, and, when he shall die,
Take him and cut him out in little stars,
And he will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night.
It was by the hands of Shakespeare, the whole world heard the tragic story about a young couple that gave their life to be together in the afterlife. Possibly the most beautiful love story ever told, we, humans, were meant to believe that once Death came for the two of them… Their love prevailed and the two young lovers had their time of happiness at last.
How wrong we all were…
Destiny has a funny way to show its’ path, and the great love Rome felt for his Juliet, was never meant to be, he belong to another and her heart too had another pair. But who said humans actually listen to the rules of the creators? Time, Death and Destiny watch the two children created a small catastrophe and once they brought the great goddess of Death upon them… It was time for the two star-cross lovers had to finally to face the consequences of their action. And as we all know, Heaven’s justice is not as kind as human justice.
Love however, defies death and justice and as their sentences were about to be read Juliet spoke.
“Great Gods, to you I plea, in the name of my lover, who made me a better me, who gave me happiness when only darkness rested in my eyes, give him forgiveness. Lay on me all the punishment. My soul is strong, my heart is mighty. I’ve learn from him. “
Listening to her words Romeo stood between his beloved Juliet.
“Do not listen to her, I commit my soul and mind to any punishment us both should face. For her I gave my body and now I shall do the same with my soul, and to prove my death wasn’t in vain I give myself for her again. My gods, I beseech in her name, castigate me and spare her soul. “
The two gods and their daughter looked at the couple, it was clear to see that even in the afterlife could change the feelings both young humans had. So they would have to change their first plan. Keep the two souls separated would not be a punishment and such pure feeling … Death and Time talked, long moments of pure agony for the couple until. The decision was made.
Time said importantly, in a low, very serious voice.
“To the lovers that defy Destiny, Time and Death a punishment must be held, because you proof that love might be more valuable than faith, to both we give the gift of eternal life, and forever you both will be fated to be together, forever. “
“But before you two celebrate, more must be said. Because Romeo showed a blind devotion towards his lover, refusing to bend for the laws you lived by, you shall become a Sin, and in your heart, you’ll never find love for her. You shall care, and protect Juliet; you will nurse the friendship, but never, look to her through loves eyes.
And Juliet, for showing an undeniable, selfless loyalty to your lover, loyalty that broke all the rules of your people and Gods, you’ll become a Virtue. In your mind, there will never be a memory of Romeo, you’ll see him, and adore him and feel the growing need of be closer to your opposite, but never knowing why.
The price of your love is his feelings and her memories.”
Death spoke firmly to all of them, setting the matter of them both forever.
These violent delights have violent ends
And in their triump die, like fire and powder
Which, as they kiss, consume
And there for, hand by hand, walked Romeo the cold and Juliet the forgetful, protecting true lovers, fighting against the evil paths of destiny.
