do piercing stay when we transform?

yes! the piercing would probably shift and move as you shapeshift however, so as the general rule would be to stay away from body parts that would be shapeshifting, so the piercing(s) doesn't reject. granted, most people wouldn't be piercing their backs or legs or hands but if you wanted play piercings that are in such areas, you probably can't get them unless you don't shift till you take out those piercings.

this is also why piercings are a (more) reckless move for shapeshifters – no wild animal will have some random piercing, and if you don't get to take out your piercings before having to transform, that's one way the PSTC can flag you.

Goshawk: “I don’t work well with people, people work well with me!”

Hallew: “I have a lot of experience working with others in a variety of situations and roles, but I do tend to default to doing everything myself.”

Tower: “No.”

Tender: “Well, this is embarrassing, but... no. I love people, I love being around people, I love talking to people, but when I’m actually trying to accomplish a task... I can’t stand people interfering. And I know, I know, the question wasn’t about people interfering, but they always DO! As soon as anything important needs doing, people turn into morons and even when they’re really trying to help they just always always always insist on doing it wrong and it’s infuriating.”

potentially controversial opinion: I don't like the idea that all female characters have to be strong and/or viewed through the lens of being potential role models for little girls.

agreed. i think it’s insidious in a different way. in a way, it’s like how stereotypes are “positive” so people shouldn’t get offended. but it’s still a stereotype. some people want to go so against the women showing any kind of weakness route because women were thought of as weak and lesser for so many years and were represented that way in the media. but now is a point where just regular representation to be accepted by the masses is what’s needed in my opinion. for girls and women (and all people) to see themselves. in characters that are strong, sure, but also weak and emotional and ugly and selfish and funny and dorky. i think some female characters are inherently role models and should be seen and judged as such, like disney princesses (and i really have no complaints about them). but judging is such a waste of time. just enjoy the characters for what they are. just because a woman is weak doesn’t mean she’s anti-feminist and i think it’s really bad to judge art otherwise.
