Here are my two pieces for @eusuntgratie's amazing @rnmbigbang fic, show me your soul !!

He lets Michael pick out a suit for him when they get ready for the client dinner, and he tries not to get too distracted staring at his mouth when he ties the tie he bought him around his neck.

“You look good all dressed up when you’re not miserable,” Michael offers.

“When I was a kid, my brother and sister got adopted, but their parents didn’t want me. I was too…” he trails off, looking for the right words. “Much. I guess.” Alex wishes he could see his face, but he likes this too, Michael’s head pillowed on his chest with his fingertips trailing over his skin while he talks, the darkness like a blanket making them feel safe enough to be honest with each other.

RNM Fic - There's gold under the rust

My 2025 RNM Big Bang fic is here! I honestly can't believe I managed to write another one. I few years ago there was a discussion about reasons Mindy would have left when she did and without her kids. My first thought was, what if she was pregnant. I've been thinking about this fic ever since.

One note, Alex and Michael's relationship is very important to this story especially in how it shapes who Alex is when Chase meets him and how Alex is able to emotionally navigate the shock of finding out about Chase, but this is not a Malex centric fic. It really is Chase's story, and I hope if you read it you will come to love him as much as I do.

Summary:

Mindy Manes (51) passed away unexpectedly on June 23rd. She is survived by her only son, Chase Manes (19) of Hanover, Wisconsin. When Chase approved his mother's obituary, he thought that was true. Discovering she had a family he never knew about changes his life. He finds Alex in Roswell, but it's not easy to bond with a brother you never knew existed especially when you think he broke your mother's heart.

He just had no idea just how big of a one it was.
