Hereās some Funguary bug designs that I did between 2024 and 2026~ originally they were supposed to be posted after the first batch in 2024, but the wasp was giving me trouble with the veil and I only finished her in 2025. Then I was going to post this trio in 2025, but THEN the dragonfly gave me an art block and I couldnāt finish it until today, a year later xDD

A lil fun fact about the wasp - she was inspired by a very morbid video going around of a wasp that had her head dangling from her body by the nerves. The head was still āsentientā and moving around. Some were wondering whether she was trying to put it back with her front legs, but then i saw one biologist/scientist (i donāt remember, maybe it was Hank Green) proposing a theory, that bc wasps use their front legs to catch prey, she was probably acting on instinct, so bc she was feeling sth in her claws, she was trying to eat her own head (as her mandibles were moving rapidly). Anyway, i thought about it and got an idea for a wasp infected by fungi, where a tall mushroom was growing where her head used to be. Maybe the fungus took over the body, and the wasp is now trapped as a dangling head š¤ Iām definitely thinking of making her an actual character in my setting~
On the other hand the red cockroach would make a neat villain~

To celebrate my first year after my 4 year long hiatus I made a 2nd redraw of Sayta in the club, and decided to make a DTIYS out of it~!
I would really appreciate it if you guys shared this post around so more people can join~!

The Prizes:
1st place - full body of one character + a simple scenery (can be turned into two half bodies of two characters with a simple scenery)
2nd place - half body of one character + a simple background
3rd place - head bust of one character + a simple background
All the prizes are gonna be fully rendered~
I expect to draw your ocs as prizes, but you can also pick a fictional character from your favourite media (if the media of your choice makes me in any way uncomfortable I will ask you to pick something else)
I wonāt draw: NSFW, heavy gore, too complicated designs (this is up for discussion)
