Thinking about a postwar Tarnma reunion with their messy relationship dynamic (omg a baby).
A bumpy rollercoaster of emotions varying from grief and glee.
So basically the Delphi deal goes on as usual but it’s altered in a softer way behind closed doors (they hook up and catch feelings yk). Then comes the canon tarn crashout arc where he finds out about Megatron's defection and hunts him down to the antimatter explosion.
Yeah instead of the djd all dying, they just vanish without a trace. No one knows what happened so they just assume they all died (In actuality they were sent to magic purgatory).
Some time after this, peace is just starting to establish on Cybertron. Everything’s still new and dysfunctional but they’re trying to make it work.
Here, Pharma remains at Delphi until it turns out he was sparked. It went undetected for a while but once some signs started showing, he started crashing out. This made him consider his options and turn to Ratchet for help to get stationed back home. Ratchet is like goddamnit Pharma but fine I’ll help you. Later on, Pharma eventually tells Ratchet who the sire is (he won’t stop asking). A bit of time passes and the sparkling is born. Pharma is left to adjust to an unbalanced work-life and post-war society, with a sparkling.
One day late at night, Ratchet hears word of the djd mysteriously ‘appearing out of thin air’, being found in stasis-lock, and heavily wounded. With the approval of Megatron and the Prime, they are retrieved and brought back to Cybertron.
Not sure what to do, he decides to visit Pharma to tell him the news in person.

“Who is it?”
Ratchet with a roll of his optics peered into the door camera. “The building’s repair mech, who else? Can I come in?”
Sighing, Pharma brought up the door controls on his HUD, swiftly unlocking it and backing out. Today was.. odd. He had felt the need to take the day off. Normally he would brush the feeling aside, work taking some of his priorities but this feeling.. it was unnerving. His spark had ached. A sharp pain that slowly ebbed into a small echo of a slow pulse. He found that being close to his bitlet had helped soothe his phantom pain. So now he lay on his side in berth with his sparkling close, idly stroking along their helm, watching them sleep.
The door slid open. Not bothering to turn around, Pharma spoke in a low voice. “Aren’t you too old for spontaneous visits?”
“Pharma… they found him.”
His fingers stilled on the edge of a finial. “Him?”
“Yeah.. Tarn. Listen before you jump to any conclusions, he’s currently in stasis lock along with the rest of his division. The team that found them reported they were in critical condition and are being brought back to Cybertron now.”
“Is he.. stable?”
“For now but please don’t-.”
“I’ll be taking over when they arrive.”
“Pharma, be reasonable it’s not safe- he is not safe!”
Finally turning, Pharma looked over his shoulder with a glare. He couldn’t hide the irritation in his tone, nor did he try. “He is still my patient Ratchet. No matter the circumstances I know him better than any other doctor here.”
Without waiting for a response, Pharma turned back to snuggle closer to his bitlet. “Now goodnight, we’ll talk later unless you’d like to deal with a cranky sparkling.”
Now it was Ratchet's turn to sigh. He groaned as he pinched his nasal ridge. As much as he’d want to argue and convince Pharma otherwise, he was right about the kid. “Fine, we’ll talk first thing in the morning. Goodnight Pharma.” And with that, he left.
Getting a good night's rest was never an option, was it?
