My current weapon of choice for going on stage, my pretendocaster "Ember" named by beloved younger brother. Firstly sorry for no uploads in forever, but as of request from a dear follower, I will start uploading content a lot more frequently! ;) The story of Ember is pretty simple; I met an old friend of mine at the local pub (where else? ._.), he said he had a fake stratocaster, and I could have it for free if I picked it up. As no surprise, the guitars condition was in utter shit... Parts were missing, the strings were all rusty and it was stains on the entire body.... So I took it home, gave it a proper clean and it looked real pretty, like a proper stratocaster! However, I wanted the 'road worn' look, I didn't really like the look of a brand new stratocaster. So firstly, I took it outside and scratched the surface by smashing it to the tarmac on our street (really effective!). I then began to sand it with wet sandpaper to get rid of the shine on the body, which went really well! Lastly, I ordered a brand new stratocaster neck and applied it to the guitar. The old neck felt really horrible to play, but this one was truly amazing! I also got a new bridge (static), new machine heads so it could stay in tune and some new Fender strings. I could've changed the pickups aswell, but I wantes the dirty garage sound since I'm playing in a punk rock band right now! Signing out...
Road worn guitars have more character than I do.
I’ve had this guitar for a long time.
