How do so many people believe the Virginia shooting was a hoax? 1. It was on live TV 2. There were multiple recordings of it 3. There was a survivor I bet would LOVE to hear how you think she didn’t get shot! 4. Really you’re using the fact people spoke about it so fast to claim it’s fake? 5. You do realize that despite all the shootings over the years NO HELPFUL GUN LAWS WERE PASSED! Why would they fake a shooting when it’s been proven that shootings do not get gun laws passed!

No, don’t bring up “but they want to ban the Confederate flag.” I know why you bring it up, too, because the shootings are almost similar. “One bad apple spoils the bunch” is how it goes.

You got Psycho A with a very strong sense of white superiority who wanted to start a race war. You got Psycho B who was unstable and pissed off and answers to Psycho A’s call to a race war but based it on his personal experience with people. Psycho A was a nut from the start, Psycho B had built-up rage.

I am not defending either one, for murder is still murder and will not be excused no matter what color your skin or what you believe or why you did it. They were both mental.

The flags have different meanings, alright? Confederates called for separation of the country for the multiple reasons you can Google about (the common one being “we’re not going to free our slaves for they generate our income and we don’t need to pay them for it”). The LGBT+ flag stands for a people who have gone through a lot of shit, which you can also do extensive research for and all of it points to discrimination and murder, and they demand the most basic thing that all people ask for: To be recognized as human.

The Virginia Battle Flag has a history based on outdated ideas and morals.

The LGBT+ Flag is representative of all non-heterosexuals and non-cisgendered people.

Flags do not kill people, but they show where you stand.

That is why one flag gets more hate than the other.

You will get different kinds of people from each group. You will have nutjobs in the LGBT+ who think that “killing all cishets” will solve things, and you will have people who fly the battle flag who actually are not part of the KKK (for it is not the real KKK flag) nor want to be associated with them.

My point is being this: Do not get rid of a flag based on who flies it, get rid of it because of what it stands for.]]

So you know the place in Roanoke with those two TV reporters got killed last week? Well, I was eating dinner last night across the street from there and there was a lot of security around including the sheriff of Bedford County and he was checking bags and purses looking for guns and he was so intent on trying to find a gun in my bag that he completely overlooked the weed that was conveniently sitting there at the bottom.

Alison Parker and Adam Ward were interviewing a women at a mall, about tourism when they were murdered by an ex coworker.

Who was fired from the studio in 2013.

He tracked his former coworkers down after 2 years and murdered them on fucking LIVE TV

What really pisses me off is how I’ve seen only 2 posts on my dashboard about this.

Before I say anything, I believe in free speech and think it should be protected. Also, I know that a lot of these people are either very gullible or messed up to think these things. But I am so sick of people taking actual tragedies (9/11, Sandy Hook, the recent Roanoke shooting) and saying it was an inside job. They weren’t. This isn’t some messed up totalitarian regime where people can do crap like killing people to control the rest of the population. It’s not even funny as a joke either. Legit people died. If you would seriously make a joke like that in front of the family and friends of the victims, heck, in front of anyone, please unfollow me right now. Real talk right now: people are saying that Alison Parker wasn't actually shot because Chris Hurst wasn't crying. Newsflash peabrains: not everyone cries in public. The man described himself as numb; he might not have been able to cry right then. Heck, I was more angry about my mom's death than crying, but I don't see any idiots telling me that my mom isn't dead. I saw the video. There is no way that was faked. Any time stuff that people quibble about is probably due to their own time zone not being EDT. The shooter's hands don't "look white"; there's light on his hands, or some fool decent with any photo editing program screwed it up to con others. Not much makes me angry, but calling someone a liar, especially to this degree, sends me through the roof. Mocking someone's grief to the point that you post this garbage on their tweets is unconscionable. I am not even sorry for how long this post is. To conspiracy theorists: stop pretending this is about finding the truth. It's not. All you're doing is magnifying real pain for your own bullshit.

There was another shooting in the US today... A gunman (a journalist) shot a reporter and her cameraman on live television in Roanoke, Virginia... Suspect tried to flee and shot himself, though I believe he is alive still. And people still have the audacity to say that we don't need gun control here. My heart is very heavy. I hope their families are doing alright.

So...I spent 6 years in Roanoke, know Franklin Country well, and this shooting is really, really, really upsetting.
