Satine had a brief crush on a Senatorial aide during her time on Coruscant. He was one of the few people who was nice to her and didn’t judge her being from Mandalore. She got over it quickly, but he did make her blush once or twice. He may or may not have been her first kiss.

          It was exhausting in every sense of the word to be so close to so much death and have a way of feeling all of it. Sometimes, she could focus through it. Sometimes, she struggled more. Maybe it was all of the death and grief and imbalance, or maybe it was only a thin distraction for how much she still missed the Temple, despite how much she needed to leave.

          “I’ll be out of your hair in no time, I promise,” she said, golden eyes flickering up to his as sky-blue fingers carefully cleaned the blaster bolt burn on his arm. 

          A soldier, one of many fighting a war Chyla was still struggling to understand. But, she had ways to help who she could. “Are you from here?” she asked. The small talk helped her at least.
