To make your mashed potatoes taste more gourmet, add roasted garlic and Parmesan cheese to them.
Ingredients: 5 potatoes. 1 head garlic. 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 1/2 cup milk. 4 tablespoons butter. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Preheat oven to 400F 200C. Slice off the top of the garlic head to expose the cloves. Drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast for 30-35 minutes until cloves are soft. Peel and chop potatoes, then boil until tender. In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Squeeze roasted garlic cloves into the melted butter and mash. Drain potatoes and mash them in a large bowl. Mix in roasted garlic butter, Parmesan cheese, and milk until creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve hot.
