With this intense look at racial tension in the army, the show confidently establishes it’s credentials as top-tier quality television.
Ving Rhames in particular is superb, but Mark Rolston and Robert Knepper are right there with him every step of the way.
Tucker is a brilliant character: angry, heroic, petty, conflicted, heartbroken, noble, frustrated, fearless. It would have been great to see more of him, but his final scene (with Anderson) is magnificent.
As well as the serious drama, the battle sequence in the middle is the best one so far in the series. Best filmed, and best executed.
