Brendon talking about Rob Mathes giving him advice to keep going after the split. I’ve seen people refer to him as evil and a tyrant saying he kicked Ryan & Jon out and that just couldn’t be further from the truth. It literally was just creative differences and Ryan not feeling like he could write what he wanted bc the band had grown so much. Brendon was depressed after the split and not leaving his house, his bed. He felt like all the weight of the world had fallen on his shoulders and it was a lot to take on. He didn’t want to let anyone down. Brendon always talks about how much Rob’s advice meant to him. Rob is also the one responsible for all of the gorgeous strings and horns in Panic’s music. And thank God, Brendon listened to Rob!!
