From Five Nights at Freddy's creator Scott Cawthon and food stylist Rob Morris, The Official Five Nights at Freddy's Cookbook will be published in hardcover and e-book on September 5 via Scholastic.

The 128-page book features over 40 recipes inspired by the video games, from Fredbear's Pepperoni X-Press and Chica's Ultimate Chicken Burger to Foxy's Cover Coolor and El Chip's Nachos.

Reluctant Reader Wednesday: The Official Five Nights at Freddy’s Cookbook by Scott Cawthon and Rob Morris 

In the world of Five Night’s at Freddy’s, immortalized in games, books, and film, a once happy and fun place transformed into something much darker.

Most of the recipes in this book are signs of the earlier version of Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex, with recipes that have weird names but aren’t creepy at all, like Garlicky Pizza Twirls, Chica’s Crispy Fried Chicken, and Fazcade Pulled Pork Quesadillas. Some recipes are normal but have creepy names, like Stage Fright Salmon Patty Sub. One of the only “spooky” recipes is for the harmless-sounding Raspberry & White Chocolate Mr. Cupcakes, which includes edible googly eyes as a finishing touch. 

While most of the recipes aren’t spooky themselves, there’s plenty of creepy artwork and mysterious notes and articles that will keep FNAF fans entertained!

The child sex trafficking industry is a $12-32 billion dollar a year industry. But Rob Morris wants us to consider the plight of individual children, rather than statistics. Morris is the president and co-founder of Love 146, an organization working to end child trafficking through survivor care and prevention education.

Morris and Love 146 want to increase the penalties predators face, and to protect children under 18 from being criminalized for their activity. Morris considers the Internet the “new streets” when it comes to sex trafficking, and he tells Alec he is determined to make sure child exploitation is included in mainstream sex education classes.
