DEMOKRASYA SA PILIPINAS Iginuhit ni Robert Alejandro
Seriously, is there anything that this man can’t do? From travel illustration to designing big malls. So much respect for this man for his craft. The man that we once all knew as the guy from our childhood TV show, ‘Art Is-Kool’, Robert Alejandro became a memorable speaker to me that day as he shared his journey, his life to us that is truly heartfelt. He is really a nice and jolly person, always smiles to everyone he meets that is why we can’t help but to hug him. His outlook in life with his age is really desirable.

When artist Robert Alviola Alejandro looks at a simple leaf he sees an entire fashion scene: Women dance in 1920s flapper dresses, couples in chic overcoats walk arm in arm, bearded men head out in bowler hats, and elegantly turned out gals take their pooches for a walk. There are cowgirls and mods, ladies in waiting and ladies who lunch, urban fashionistas and fans of the avant-garde. The leaf, of course, becomes a seamless part of each garment. Fashion designers have long been inspired by the natural world so it comes as no surprise that the greenery that surrounds Alejandro in his native Phillipine Islands have led to such creative sartorial illustrations.

INK Fest 2015 + Two Sides of a Conversation
I don’t know when I will ever learn to be completely comfortable with the idea of this awkward non-reply in the middle of a conversation. I must say though that I have improved over the years. I no longer spend hours and hours questioning myself and doing some useless why-why analysis as to why I didn’t get a reply like I used to when I was a teen. Ha! :) :P

Yesterday, we got stranded at the mall due to heavy flood caused by the typhoon so we had no choice but to stay in the mall for several hours until our uncle comes to pick us up. I was so lucky because I brought my sketch book and pen with me. Finally killed boredom while drawing stuff HAHAHAA (Artist Rule: Always bring a Sketchpad/book and pen/pencil with you wherever you go) Anyways the two architectural sketches are an inspiration from the book of Robert Alejandro's, "The Sketching Backpacker". Both based on imaginations because, I want to travel and just draw stuff. The last illustrations are a buncha random doodles XD Well that is all!! If you're in the Philippines, Stay Safe!! And to everyone, have a great day!!
