The Industrial Revolution is on the rise, changing cities and entire landscapes once and for all. Even centuries later, they seem attract death and despair and maybe they even link fates from the past to the ones of modern persons.

Old factory halls are often repurposed nowadays, if they haven’t been demolished already. They become city halls, universities and office buildings. The smoke that stained the walls and the oil that painted the floor has been washed away - but have the memories it carried? The stories they told? The sweat, blood and dread of the factory workers is embedded in the stones and their presence can be felt still. Maybe that’s why even years later, the place has a sickening effect on the people who work there. Maybe old blood calls to young one ... A little short story about shattered dreams in shady places.
